I used to live and work in USA. We loved life in Greenville DE and Chadds Ford PA. Leaving was sad, but thankfully our move back to Canada was:
- prior to my cancer diagnosis (8 yrs of treatments haven’t cost us a dime… yay free healthcare!)
- prior to retiring
- prior to the insane Trump shitstorm

We went from US media once attacking President Biden over his age and condemning President Obama for daring to wear a tan suit in the briefing room to them actively normalizing a criminal for over a decade as he threatens to murder Democrats. They deliberately failed democracy.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.
