Inktober Day 18: Deal

This is a specific scene from my story. This might be the first time I show any actual magic in my public art for it.

The deal was not voluntary on Junar's part. He was forced into it.

The whole thing with Anubis and weighing the heart against a feather was a misinterpretation, it's actually just this.

You pass, btw.

Inktober Day 17: Ornate

It's past midnight and the time crunch is really bad but I swore I'd do all of inktober and I will!!! 😭

I've made this Shaman design for my story and I drew it for today's prompt.

She's one of the important characters actually... But I'll keep her mysterious for now >:)

Oh actually you know what, I'm going to give myself a bit of leeway on this one

My premise is that watching an LP of a Quantic Dream game is essentially equivalent to playing it yourself

So Heavy Rain, Omikron, Detroit, or Beyond: Two Souls would all be easy contenders for this category
Reading Hawthorne has me talking to the rabbits all weird

"Hello, my darling. My beautiful girl. No, do not shrink away; I will not violate your peace with a finger's touch. My ogre hands could only impose stress upon your beatific loveliness"

Meanwhile Cocoa just stares
Now isn't *that* interesting...

Surprisingly, I don't really have any quotes about Koroks themselves! But luckily the Deku Tree is listed as a Korok in the game's character profiles, so it totally counts!

You do love "positive attribute used for evil purposes" scenarios...

I'm of course sad that Gene Wolfe is gone, but given that he wrote at least one story about an author being brought back from the dead against his will (can't recommend A Borrowed Man enough), I take solace in being able to groundlessly assert that he would definitely be against AI on principle

Obviously not an excuse but it’s worth preparing yourself for like every geriatric artist to dabble with this because they’re curious, they want the opportunity to make whatever they can before they kick it, and they will not live to see the consequences
Lol, fuck off Grant
If I made a deal with a devil it would be some nonsense like "I want to win a Smash Bros tournament through perfect play, and in exchange I will never play any fighting game again"

Mephistopheles would hate my ass

"Stop calling me," he'd say, "you're not even blaspheming the name of God"
Thank you, that is very validating
My top three Baldur's Gate 3 characters, in terms of how well-written I think they are and how they help prop up their part of the narrative:

1. Karlach
2. The Dream Visitor
3. Lae'zel
Sometimes I wonder if I have my own opinions nearly so much as I'm reacting (positively or negatively) to the opinions of the people around me

I'm not mercurial, exactly, but I sometimes feel like a shapeshifter whose internality feels less concrete than what I assume of those around me
He's genuinely the best at it!
Related is that it's very rare to see Superman working the land... the only time I've read him doing so is in Kingdom Come, when he farms (maybe to no one's benefit) because he's disillusioned with his true calling, violent heroism
