Some more very tiny leaves. All
cut out by hand with my old scalpel (over 30 years old!).
I’m rarely on here at the moment, I’m finding it hard to keep up with social media! Here’s a collage I’m currently working on, magical autumn with magical beings (my beloved cat Circe who died last year, you can just see her tail) 🤍
New business cards are here. Couldn’t decide on which images so I just went for as many possible!
The Tower collage. Made from my linoprints which I’ve cut up with a scalpel and rearranged into new compositions. Inspired by the tarot card and the Tower of Babel.
Summerland, an idyllic afterlife depicted in this collage. Each shape has been cut out from my linoprints with a scalpel so it’s a long process to put together. I’ll be offering giclee prints of this as it’s a one off, and quite a large collage.
New print Hesperus released today. Took my time, but decided the Greek god of the evening star was the title-one shining brighter than the rest. The colours don’t seem to come up as well when filming so at least I have some photos….
Recent print shenanigans. Comets as per usual but some are not behaving (ink coverage poor) so I’m giving the first colour longer to dry.
Heron from my Eden linoprint. Surrounded by Guernsey palms and a beautiful wildflower native to the island.
I might brave it at some point before the end of the year…
Thanks Mat! I think that’s why I’ve not put the edition out as I have so many prints with poor coverage of the gold…and the paper is so expensive. When I think of printing more I come out in a cold sweat.
Puffin, from my ‘Eden’ linoprint. Gold on black, celebrating the flora and fauna of the isle of Guernsey.
Beautiful Woad. I have seeds to start growing this next year, along with Indigo. I have plans to dye my own fabrics and print on them. I don’t have a proper garden so I’m hoping it’ll work in pots….

RTs appreciated. 🙌
A studio shot this morning. My ‘studio’ is actually a part of my front room that sections off. You don’t need a special studio to make art, you can just try to make it work wherever you are.
Not sure my ears ever recovered. On a search I saw that Metallica played 3 consecutive nights at the Astoria in early 90’s! I definitely missed that.
He’s been going for a while! I do remember it being amazing (school nights as well!) but can’t exactly remember who was on the bill for the three nights… there was definitely Testament, maybe Exodus but I could just be naming the bible…I think Slayer where there. Did a search but can’t find it!
Oh I didn’t know they were? I remember as a teenager going to the Astoria three nights in a row to see a line up like that (but without Metallica I think they were too big?)
‘Heathen’ print in gold. Lots of ideas behind this print relating to my Irish ancestors worshipping the earth and nature-called Heathens by the Catholic Church. I grew up Irish Catholic and the word was derogatory, aimed at those whose souls would be lost if they weren’t part of organised religion.
Now a copper version I think, to add to the silver…. #linoprint
Thanks so much Mat! I considered just throwing the block in the bin at one point. Not sure why colour reduction prints are always so difficult for me!
I’ve run into so many problems making this print. Printmaking certainly does teach you patience. Also that it’s okay to admit defeat, and to change course…..
Slight difference in the colour change with these details. They’ll make more sense with the next colour I hope. I’m finding it hard to keep up with posting to another social media site but will try my best in future!
An update on my wreath linoprint. Onto the greens now. Not long to go until it’s finished. #linoprint
