👨👩👧👧Women and families have limited to no access to emergency shelters. They are forced to sleep outside, unprotected. Women are underrepresented and made invisible in living sites mostly populated by men, and yet their needs are the most ignored.

Hostile border policies didn’t lead to a decrease in Channel crossings, but to increasing danger and life-threatening situations. Boats are more overcrowded and departures are pushed further away from the English coast.

📱 At the border access to reliable information & translation services for people on the move is far from easy. Most of the information comes from social media or word of mouth. In Calais and Dunkirk this vital work relies on local NGOs.

At the Fr-UK border, 2024 was the deadliest year for children.
Since 2018, 1/5 of those excluded from safe routes to the UK have been children. Average age? Just 7 yo.
Every child deserves school, safety, and dignity, not violence.
