A painted study of a downtown Los Angeles skyline at golden hour. A graphic, stylized greyscale drawing of an onion village that features rolling mounds of dirt and playful dandelions. A color script for Zombies: The Re-Animated Series that features A-Spen (an alien character with blue hair) flying toward earth to meet and embrace Wynter (a werewolf character). The final panel of 6 features the two friends hoping between space rock in a pink star dust field. Concept art of a robot city made of unique, bottle shaped towers in greyscale.

Happy portfolio day! I’m an artist with experience on projects for companies ranging from Wizards of the Coast to Walt Disney Animation, though my constant passion in art is always depicting glimpses of prehistoric worlds 🦖 #portfolioday #paleoart #paleosky #dinosaurart

Earlier this year, Dr. Jane Goodall sat down for an interview for Brad Falchuk’s new Netflix series, Famous Last Words.

The premise of the series is to interview people on the condition that the interview not air until the subject has passed away.
I think if you care about the environmental impacts of AI, you should also care about this. The over-reliance on dairy and beef is especially a problem.

oh and another thing, I have a wonderful agent who helps me get cover work! Sometimes they contact me directly, sometimes they contact her. And if I'm too busy to do a cover, I recommend fellow illustrators in my agency.
thank you!! I got my first book cover job cause they liked my portfolio for animation. I only get a couple illus. jobs a year (I work fulltime in animation) but it helps to have some paintings with a central figure, bright colors, and some vertical compositions. (more in the alt text...)
These are some of my paintings that AD's frequently cite when they launch me on a cover illustration. This one is fanart of Garth Nix's book Sabriel. It's got 2 large central figures, and I think AD's can imagine where text would go (even though it's a horizontal composition!) this is another one that gets picked as reference often. You can imagine text would go in the large keyhole. For most of the cover illustrations, it's helpful to have a big "empty" space (where the values and details aren't too complex) for text. Striking compositions and bright colors are helpful.

cover illustration for The Traitor Moth by Katharine Orton. A brown, spotted moth holds a nettle branch in front of a full moon. He is standing on a tree branch with wasps and his two moth companions in the background. Orphans of the Tide by Struan Murphy. A beached whale at the base of a gothic city sticking out of the ocean The Mossheart's Promise by Rebecca Mix. Two fairies inside of a terrarium, surrounded by rotting plants, mushrooms, and an isopod The Ghostwing's Lie by Rebecca Mix. A fairy standing in a broken glass terrarium, surrounded by plants, bugs and a newt.
The latter! I found that the "pretty" ones don't autofill into the online applications very well, which makes my life more annoying when I have to manually adjust those fields. I also have an easy to copy-paste excel version of my resume for apps that make you manually add each role.

Gonna be looking for new work soon. Concept, Vis Dev, Art Direction for later this year and into 2026. Will also be planning some mentorship/teaching once I've had a little break.
I've started (politely) commenting about the environmental impacts and then it's kind of funny to see the whole post get deleted. I encourage you to try it lol.
environmental organizations using AI art to make infographics is so insane to me lol
