the whole "don't play the game, just watch a video on youtube that will explain its story to you" is so disheartening because the issue of accessibility is genuinely really important but it's always just people who want to be spoon-fed nicely quantifiable information

I don't get the weird hate boner for E33 that I see across the internet. It's not the first game of its kind, sure, but it never pretended to be? The team has always been very forthright about its influences. But, like, it IS a game changer. It caught the public's attention! There's no denying it.
