Ballarat weather station currently reporting 41.3 degrees, so it'll be a degree or so hotter than that where I am (because it always is).

Attempt 3 of malt loaf is now in the oven, this one with the malt syrup and treacle (molasses) weighed instead of spooned. I must say it was much easier. Proof of the pudding is in the eating, however.
