Not often that we get a Commodores hit that isn't either a) a Lionel Richie ballad, or 2) a funk banger. 'Flying High' (#38) is somewhat of a middle ground cut: mid-tempo, almost in the vibe of groups such as the Blackbyrds. #AT40 1978-11-11 version.
