Mid-November, in the lead up to Skate Story, my partner suggested I replay Zarvot to quell my insatiable anticipation. The result was my most personal essay, which explores the aesthetic and thematic reasons why @bysameng.com's first project has been one of my favourites since 2018.

i was asked to do the art for this silly 2 day "game jam"-ish thing. and i was like, why not? here are a few of the sprites i made. it was a 3 person effort (art, music, coding), and was made in gamemaker.
this was all to try tipping a "video game book club" poll in favor of skate story, haha.
