Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Matthew Golden's wrist injury:

"He's done a nice job. I think he's gone out there, he's caught some balls in practice. Again, another guy that I think will be questionable leading up to game time, depending upon how he's feeling."
December 5, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Savion Williams' foot injury:

"It's definitely not a setback. It's more or less just battling through."
December 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Packers HC Matt LaFleur on whether Jayden Reed will return this week:

"I hope so. We're still kind of going through that process of being fully cleared medically."
December 5, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Javon Bullard missing Thursday's practice:

"Nothing from practice. It was from the game. Just was having some lingering effects, so we thought it would be best to shut him down and see how he progresses through the course of the week."

The Lions have led almost the entire game.

So far, they've attempted 30 passes and only 14 runs (two of which were by wideouts).

Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Jordon Riley:

"He is a big man. That was evident. He's got a good energy about himself, just in my interactions with him. I thought he went out there and did a pretty good job yesterday. Obviously, he's had some years of experience under his belt."
December 4, 2025 at 5:02 PM
Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Karl Brooks:

"I think Karl is hard on himself, which is a great quality to have. Most great players that I've been around are critical of themselves and think that there's room for improvement. ... We're going to need him to play big down the stretch."
December 4, 2025 at 5:01 PM
Packers HC Matt LaFleur on motioning Jayden Reed before snap:

"I think he's just got a really good feel for it and how everything times up, where he needs to be, the skill set he possesses as well. Obviously, he's got great speed, but he's got good transition skills."

The Bears are the No. 1 turnover team in the NFL by a mile. They create a bunch and don't give the ball away.

That can't cause Matt LaFleur to call a game scared of turning it over.

I wrote about it today for @theleap.bsky.social

Matt LaFleur has to be willing to "go down swinging" against the ball-hawking Chicago Bears
Jordan Love got to sling it against the Detroit Lions, but Dennis Allen's defense is the best turnover-forcing team in the NFL. LaFleur can't be too afraid of interceptions to let Love loose again.

The Packers defense will again have to play without Devonte Wyatt. The plan for filling his void along the interior will look different this time, however.

I wrote for @theleap.bsky.social about what that plan will involve and, just as importantly, what it won't.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur on Brenton Cox:

"He's played a lot of football for us. He's a big, physical guy. Can set an edge. Does a good job rushing the passer. We're really excited to get him back."
