Rainy morning in Dayton. Played around with watercolors a little bit.
Big turnout for the No Kings rally in Dayton. Can’t wait to see what they looked like in the rest of this big, beautiful country.

This morning, I was hit in the face by a baton.

I’m going to have a pretty gnarly bruise but we need to remember why this is happening: Trump and ICE are rounding up our neighbors, treating them as subhuman, and shipping them off to labor camps in foreign countries. It has to end.

Come on by tonight, PA-NJ-NY-MD folks!
@PFracassi.bsky.social returns to The Doylestown Bookshop to discuss his new book, #TheAutumnSpringsRetirementHomeMassacre, w/ @ChuckWendig.bsky.social.

We are loving this book, and when talking about it, one of our booksellers said, "It's like The Thursday Murder Club checked into Bates Motel."
I just got to do some panels with that gentleman at FanX. He’s a nice fella! Please tell him I said hi!

It’s amazing how all the reporting is just memory-holing this part

Yes he did. And it was as satisfying to watch as it was overdue.

CBS reporter Edward R. Murrow embodied what a journalist should be: someone who holds power to account instead of capitulating to it.

Over 70 years later, his segment denouncing Joe McCarthy’s congressional witch hunts rings truer than ever.
Galva as seen by Kinch is fun to write—of course it was also great to let her tell her own story in The Daughters’ War. She might be my favorite character in any of my books.

The best part of how Portland is handling this is they’re not only protesting, but also angering the goose steppers by not taking them seriously.

Pretty genius. Because even ICE & the national guard don’t want to be displayed as that asshole fighting people in cute costumes.
Great lineup! Proud to be included.
He’s like Goebbels and Karl Rove had a less physically attractive, much less intelligent, even meaner baby.
Playing house husband again, having supper ready when my rockstar wife returns from aerial silk adventures at the Renfaire. Tonight it’s harissa chicken (or fowl) thighs with ful (or foul)—garlicky, lemony fava bean mash with a kick. (Borat accent) Great success!
Yeah. Looking for something clever to say but I’m just going to load up another bourbon on
the rocks and tilt it respectfully in your direction before glugging it gutward. Thanks for doing what you do.
This is a fabulous idea. It has its risks and problems, but it seems like a non-violent yet forceful way to take back the narrative and provide for collective resistance-and to present the American people with another-and probably better-way to *be* America.
Blue states should come together to declare an emergency. Here’s how | Thomas Geoghegan
States opposed to Trump can create a compact – a new prototype for American government – even if it’s perceived as political theater
