I’ll never understand this. There are so so many things I could happily do if not working. From stuff for me through to places I’d like to volunteer.
Mid-50s. Recently inherited enough money to be mortgage-free and not work again, but not enough for Ferraris etc. I've had to make a diary with a "to-do" each day, else I just sit all day and doomscroll. Not sure if I'm happy or not overall.

Niece has her birthday next week. Got her the new away shirt with name & number on. £62, and that’s with a ST discount. Yet the BBC are running articles fear mongering about folk buying fake kits. They do it for the same reason people use dodgy streams, they are fed up of being ripped off!

Here we go. “Means more” nonsense. They are like any other club, they do sack managers. They just didn’t need to for nearly a decade due to ridiculous success. The same as scum “didn’t sack managers” whilst having the most successful of all time. 🙄🙄

Governments and politicians that allow this sort of treatment for European residents are doomed to allow it against other groups in society at some point. The fact that this is largely accepted when it’s football supporters is beggars belief every single time.

Man muss da hier filmen und fotografieren, sonst glaub uns das keiner, wie Fußballfans behandelt werden. Grundlos und unverhältnismäßig. Sind hier gerade eingekesselt. #VfB #GAEVfVB

Why does that city fight at Elland Road in 2000 always get forgotten. It actually drew blood!

The sad thing is, everyone knows what he is, and those who support him don’t care.

At his next job, Farke will go on a long rant about how he didn’t get his attacking signings at Leeds, but he won’t talk about how he didn’t play what he had. He won’t mention his Hail Mary plan of throwing on all his forwards on 70mins. Or letting his wingers go so he can play Aaronson.
I’m not angry. I just don’t like how predictable and rigid he is with his tactics, selection, and subs. I disagree with decisions like shutting up shop when it’s not needed e.g Bournemouth. I also wish he’d be more open to flair. Criticising Okafor and Rutter comes to mind.

The thing is, I’m not emotional, I’m numb to this because the manager and the club’s owners seem to have no clue what they’re doing. There’s nothing to get emotional about, because unless something major changes, the conclusion is inevitable. #lufc

Once again, the story is 'alright performance, probably deserved a point, got knack all'. It's almost like our supposedly big-time owners decided to do things on the cheap instead of bringing in at least one really top-quality player who could have turned alright performances into points #lufc

Would say it’s more arrogant that amateur
England's Test XI that were defeated in Perth are unlikely to play in their pink-ball tour match in Canberra, a decision Michael Vaughan has described as 'amateurish' 👀

More than most I’m happy to shrug at some of the stupid stuff about bazball as it’s created some wonderful victories (compare v the time before!). But sometimes it’s just pure arrogance to suggest yesterday was down purely to head’s genius when we so clearly had a chance to bat them out the game

In fairness, we don’t know how bad this is until Australia have had a chance to bat and are 342-2.

Have to say I find the proposals to take away the route to permanent settlement of refugees both shocking and repulsive. It's code for 'whatever you do and contribute you can never become one of us so we won't allow you to try.' Racism, pure and simple.
