Think I can announce that my story "It's Always Your Choice" is in the @bsfa.bsky.social magazine Fission.

It's about a world where there's a quick easy way to go when it's your time, relevant with Assisted Dying Bill and my mum passing last week. #sf #writing

and surprised me by what it said.

I've finally got to hold my my @bsfa.bsky.social award!

It now finally feels real and I'm very thankful for it.

Although the dog has already tried to eat it twice. So it's going on a high shelf where he (hopefully) can't get to it.

My sci-fi story "Mantaro" will be published in Fission #5 by @bsfa.bsky.social. It's a story about coca, corruption and a particularly lethal autonomous quadruped robot roaming the VRAEM in Peru -- the world's densest area of cocaine production. Cover art by Elena Berri.
