Sure, I wrote 60k words in November for our second annual #RoWritMo. Sure, I made more progress than I expected on a book I'd barely outlined before the month began. But, most importantly, I claimed every beautiful badge @abuchon.bsky.social designed for us this year, and THAT'S the real victory!!

I love that the only remotely creative part of AI prompts is too hard so they want a "make thing I want" button
I cannot stop laughing. This is so indicative of what's wrong with these AI people and how they view art
He ran into a wall where the "make art" button wasn't satisfying because it wasn't actually making good enough art, and instead of trying new things he just requests a stronger button

I have always hated the "but is it Art?" debate, because I think anything can be art, some art is just bad. But AI/generated art is not art. It is plagiarism, it is outright theft, it is cruel and extreme mining and exploitation of living artists.

Update: this is finally fixed! Insurance called just to check in and I was like "well since you're calling...." and the new guy on the phone was like "yeah for sure." I voluntarily went on hold so he could ask his supervisor if there was a survey they could send me so I can sing his praises
The car insurance guy I'm on the phone with to transfer our policy since we moved states is very uncomfortable when I point out how they keep defaulting to my husband's name even when I'm the one doing all the paperwork or was the first to sign. They even listed his name next to MY EMAIL
