The Ctr for Urban Research at @thegraduatecenter.bsky.social (led by @jomoko.bsky.social) has prepared an online map for tonight's NYC mayoral results. Link below in #thread. For now the map is blank, but it'll fill in w/unofficial returns tonight.

The map will do more than show the 2025 #s.

All this to say, a lot of us are doing the right things, but it's still scary to come out as someone new, even if they're loved beyond measure. I'm sending big love to those out there trying to navigate who they are. ❤️ You are so easy to love. 🫶🏻

My youngest came out as gender fluid and now goes by they/them. Was worried that I would not be ok with it. I've only ever modeled acceptance, so if my kid who lives with me is worried, it's no wonder that other children in less accepting situations might also be.

Got tired of reading the news and getting mad. Feeding America backs 200+ food banks around the country and I've seeded with $500 for now. I'll match up to another $500 myself.

At Mae’s Townhouse, they said in a Facebook post, they are offering “Free grilled cheese or biscuits and gravy, no questions asked.” Food drives will be hosted at Lola’s Modern Kitchen, which will go to support the food pantry at Mae’s.

Carter’s Kitchen said it will provide free hot meals to those in need affected by the SNAP benefits ending. The restaurant said to come in, sit at the counter, and ask for the community meal.

Will put up a “Blessing Board” where people can donate toward buying a meal for customers and families who depend on SNAP. The restaurant said it will also provide 50 meals a day free for those with a SNAP card.

Firehouse will give out 50 free meals every Sunday until SNAP benefits are reinstated. Customers can also drop off canned goods and other nonperishables.

Starting on Monday, will be offering anyone who currently receives SNAP benefits a single large 1-topping pizza (cheese, pepperoni, or sausage) free. Delivery is not an option. Only on Mondays until the government reopens or while supplies last.
