Recently got into photography and use a FOSS program called Darktable to manage/edit etc my pictures.

Last week my brother in law, who's semi-professional, was raving about how I should use Adobe's AI slop filled Lightroom instead & I had to sit there like 😬 "Uh huh. Yes, I see that is interesting"
This is what I tell my mother when she asks why I'm sill single.
And the bastards wouldn't let you in? You should've sued. 😡
The Beach That Makes You Grow Old movie is so, so terrible & is my exhibit A in how Shyamalan always speaks down to his audiences.

(Alternatively I hold Fury Road up as a film that respects the audience & trusts they will get plot & world/setting without halting the movie to explain it to them)

Impossible to overstate how much Tolkien would hate Elon Musk and his industrial tech empire. Tolkien didn’t even like trains. Regular ass steam engine TRAINS.
Buddy, wait till you see all the excess U's!
What?! A decent movie?! This is am outrage. I'm asking Patreon for a refund.
@systemmastery.bsky.social @gurglespasm.bsky.social Just a theory, but taking into account Jef's insistence that the swamp vehicle in spliter of the mind's eye has open air bench seating, the southern accents, and the sadistic Imperial governor, this book may take place on Planet Florida....
Everyone is mourning Ace's death in their own way.
All LBJ had to do was call up Mr Haggar to get some new damn slacks.
Am I allowed to forgo the "giant head" prosthetic and pointy ears, or is that compulsory?
While I wait to leave this app I will continue to post on this app because my narcissism and performative righteousness knows no bounds! Like and subscribe!
Ehhhhh.... After they replaced some of the cast after the first season, it's no wonder it was eventually cancelled. 😉
This has real "I've heard people say 'off-the-record' in movies therefor, I know what that means" vibes.
It's the deep cuts like this that fill me with power, Mr Corbett. Thank you for all you do. Also, thank you for all the chicken... green peppers... corn... chili... *sigh*... onions....
Watch on the Rhine - 1943. Bette Davis, Paul Lukas.
Sometimes, a single reaction isn't enough.
@seanthomason.bsky.social @conorlastowka.bsky.social owka.bsky.social As a couple of San Diego Chicken experts, I immediately thought of you two when I saw this while watching some old rugby league games from Australia. Turns out ol' SD *wasn't* the original...
You're talking about the president aren't you?
One guy did stuff like make characters who's goal was to be a leather tanner. Not even *the worlds greatest* leather tanner, or even as part of a "I just want to tan my damn leather, and the bastards keep pulling me back in" repeated beat/joke. But being a fighter and his goal was wanting a... job.
Do you run into people who won't take chances or be heroic or motivated *in game*? In my last group this was a repeated theme. It was mind boggling. Sure, i want my pc to survive, but i also wanna do cool stuff, and this would happen despite "session zero"... I could never get them over that.
This a really good question. As a gm, I've changed. I used to map out a story I wanted to tell, so definitely more the first, but as I've grown older and away from systems like D&D (heavily prescriptive systems) I tend to want to explore themes and see how people react.
"No, I'm afraid you're mistaken - 'THAC0 Thursday' isn't a clever way to sell Mexican food later in the week. Anyway, here's 3d6, roll 6 stats..."
