Not the typical Florida tailgate screed. John Mayer's "Waiting on the World To Change" is from 2006 and sadly more relevant than ever. Wish I could have given this guy a 👍 but he turned.
[First one is from "HI-DEAS 1" by Upchurch, 2019 if my searching is right.]
If you find something effective would you mind sharing? I've been good with blocking keywords but it's the screenshots without alt text that continue to get through.
It's infuriating that only in an "opinion" piece is legacy media willing to call them what they clearly are: concentration camps. Stop echoing the cutesy nicknames the racist assholes are giving these camps and call them by name.
"The Nazis... imagined their targets would self-deport. Once the myth of self-deportation collapsed, they turned to more punitive measures. On Tuesday, Noem similarly noted the Everglades camp was meant to frighten immigrants into self-deporting. 'If you don’t,' she said, 'you may end up here.'"
Opinion | Don’t call it ‘Alligator Alcatraz.’ Call it a concentration camp.
This facility’s purpose fits the classic model, and its existence points to serious dangers ahead for the country.

I've got an HP ARM laptop (Snapdragon X Elite). I was just able to create a new ASP.NET Framework 4.8.1 template site and it worked in IIS Express. I have VS 2022 Community 17.14.7, Windows 11 Home if that helps.
What's the difference between this and checking the VS 2022 option for "Enable Microsoft Learn function in chat"? Is it just that this MCP server allows for users outside VS 2022 to connect? More on the feature I'm referring to: devblogs.microsoft.com/dotnet/impro...

Amazon brands running out of name ideas and turning to Office Space for inspiration. I'd have gone with Penetrode.
Much respect for the seller.
I need you all to see the hype video that this person made to sell their 1994 Geo Metro
Did they have the little Nikon cameras??
Sounds like it's 30-50 percent that DO have an inner dialog, which seems even harder to believe. (since mine just never seems to cease)
Like @bioreconstruct.bsky.social but make it miniature! Those are some great shots.
Anyone having problems registering for sessions at #MSBuild? I registered using the free online-only option. The sessions (i.e. build.microsoft.com/en-US/sessio...) have a button for "register now" which loops me back to the main registration page. Tried using both GitHub and company/MS logins.

I've tried but unless it can detect these blocked words in images a lot still comes through. (another reason for adding alt text, but that never seems to be added to screenshots dunking on people)
For what it's worth, I'm otherwise handy and mechanically inclined. Electrical, automotive, general woodwork? Easy. Plumbing is my kryptonite. Always ends in a leak or worse. No shame in knowing your limits, I wish I'd have realized that earlier in life!
Sounds very familiar to me (the TallBaldGeek). Those high lift, tall people cylinders are fantastic. I used various combinations of a 5lb sledge and a pipe wrench to remove my old one, worked fine. Another fun upgrade - look on Amazon for "roller blade wheels", makes it roll a lot nicer than plastic
Lake County Ohio celebrating black history month... By putting a white girl on the cover of their magazine? 🤦
I do this for yearly eval time, but applicable here:
Create a scheduled task on your PC to open a doc daily ~30 minutes before end of work day. Capture key points of your daily accomplishments. This helps you remember everything good when the time comes for reflection or review.
Crucial difference between IT in the corporate world vs the government world: In corp. dev you give AF about users & plan maint at low use (Sun PM into Mon). In gov't IT, it's fine to take your site offline both mornings of a weekend, especially when schools are demanding data from your site. #FAFSA
I went on a Google Maps trip while reading @foxxnolte.bsky.social book and I think this is the house. If you explore around Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club & Lodge you'll see it.
Just this morning my wife was heading to the used book store and asked if I had any to get rid of. I saw the 2018 and 2019 editions of The Easy Guide on the shelf and couldn't bring myself to part with them.
I just took over a ~90% complete Lego Mercedes Arocs set (42043) that has been collecting dust since my son abandoned it about 10 years ago. So somewhere between 10 days and 10 years seems appropriate?
If you're mostly in it for dev work (not gaming) I find the "5K2K" resolution a great blend of pixel density for text and screen real estate. I've got the Lenovo 40" but Dell makes one also. The built in KVM seemed attractive but didn't work great in reality.
Timely post as I'm hoping to get a Boox under the tree this year and planning to use it to get better organized.
Brain is too trained on sarcasm and I read that as EXCLUDE the first time.
