So proud of our team presenting their research at the regional Yorkshire Oncoplastic Breast Surgery meeting yesterday - from medical students to TIG fellows and consultant colleagues. Great to see what is happening and network with some of my wonderful past trainers and friends #SurgSky

For next time a patient with new cancer diagnosis asks "what can I do?"

Finally some evidence to answer:
🛑Stop smoking

⤴️median OS by 1.8 yrs with cessation within 6 months

Love data that can change what we do immediately in clinic! 😀

A centrally coordinated, low-cost mentorship program is feasible and of high value. Fab research from @jiajennyliu.bsky.social and team- a 25% reduction in burnout! Although, I wish the baseline weren't so high 💔.

Good morning.

Word of the Day is as beautiful as it is underused. ‘Confelicity’ is finding joy in the happiness and success of others.
Hi! UK breast surgeon 👋🏻
If you DM me your email address I’ll send you over a recording of the presentation and if you’re still interested in hearing more we will be recruiting to our study ASSIST in the new year ☺️
Presenting on the Second Victim Syndrome at the ASGBI EGS symposium this morning in Manchester - important topic that requires more research in how to prepare surgical trainees to face complications. Lookout for the ASSIST study coming soon….
