Guy with a Southern accent awkwardly reading everything out loud as he typed it (including Latin) and then getting increasingly mad at a woman clearly in the same room with him who was just laughing and destroying the match.
Just had my first match in this where people were using open mics and I now suspect this is a GOTY contender.
Finally trying the Final Sentence demo.
i am waiting very impatiently for the full game
i only ever get biscuits there, honestly the Cajun filet biscuit and some Bo Rounds is all you really need imo. any biscuit will do though. their chicken sandwich is also pretty good
may not have made the point well but i did have this in mind in the previous post, in the sense that at least a small studio was able to take some of the giant corp's money and add some positive aesthetic value back into the world with it
Haven't finished Keeper yet but so far it completely rules, feels like Double Fine took a modern engine and a budget and made a sumptuous, lightly interactive surrealist animated film. A superb use of Microsoft's money.
what archive are you looking at? i thought the (rickety, incomplete) Google Groups archive was all that remained, but it seems like the Internet Archive may have a more robust backup?
haven't started The Beast yet, but in DL1 i feel like i almost never engaged with volatiles even toward the end when i was way more powerful. kind of appreciated there being an enemy so awful to deal with that it forced an avoid-at-all-costs policy, maybe it's worse in the new one though
oh hey, congrats on the launch! game certainly seems to have landed extremely well, glad i'm not the only one who was bowled over by it
honestly that segment on the podcast wouldn't happen without the folks at @videogameschronicle.com, check out their news section!
yeah, someone on the Discord tipped me off. the tooltip made it sound like going in the deep tar was instant death so i didn't even consider scanning it
you know deep down the answer is "unfavorably"
good tip, fun gear is about 60% of why i'm still playing it

is it super obvious when that happens? i do read all the "posts" from the NPCs, don't remember anything that explicitly seemed like an activity though
others are the same, that's inherent to the way video compression works -- the intermediate frames aren't complete images, they're partials that get reconstructed during playback from diffs of before/after frames. so outside keyframes there's essentially nothing to cut on
yeah it being proprietary is the only coherent criticism i've seen of this. but i'd assume it'll trickle down to more general APIs/vendor implementations like most other new NV features? iirc everything about the first release of Quake II RTX was also proprietary before DXR and Vulkan RT came along
a good way to find the most open/least invasive product in a given category is to see what the Home Assistant community is using. seeing some praise for Reolink doorbells based on looking around briefly at forums
time to join us in the promised land of self-signed kernels
indeed, i really need to not sit here all afternoon going through this archive but it only took me five minutes to find one that mentions GameSpot

Want to place an ad here? I don't blame you. It would take some serious brass.

dating myself badly here but there was in fact the anon industry gossip rag BitchX, then Fatbabies after that. think i recall a third lower-key one around then that got kinda personal/mean, prob better that its name is lost to time

vivid memories of staying up till like 4am finishing X-2 the night before that review was due

that was one of those liminal games where nobody on the senior staff cared quite enough to take it, so they threw the bone to me who had only been on the job nine months but cared a LOT
i've never seen a website with less chill, it's constant
yeah have considered getting a center many times just to allay the pain of bad stereo mixing
