Resharing an article that came out of protesting amid warnings of violent reprisal and reading Lord of the Rings. I've been thinking a lot the past few days about the people showing tremendous bravery despite danger, the power of solidarity and working toward an end you might not get to see.
Have y'all heard about this reading thing? I've got a new post about finding Lord of the Rings during historic times, seeing ourselves in the context of history and finding the drive to do the thing even though you wish it need not happened in your time.
