Not really about FREEDOM: I think Young’s much-maligned genre experiments in the early ‘80s are underrated. Neil has always done whatever he wants, and it seems like the narrative around e.g. TRANS is less about its relative quality and more about how it didn’t sell as well as the label wanted.
