Great to see principled resistance by Pentagon journalists to unprincipled autocratic policies - some left 20 yr assignments.

We see so many ppl folding. Even big universities and law firms! But the 'little people' do the right thing.

Repubs love to take ideological actions that are really bad policies.

Dems see the upcoming damage, complain loudly and try to mitigate it.

Because the impact is dulled, voters later believe that Dems were whining over non-issue. And Repubs don't get penalized for their recklessness.

But, Matt, that has long been official Justice Dept policy (they will not accuse a sitting president).
It was re-enforced by a recent SCOTUS ruling approx 1July2024 - president, official acts.

I strongly dislike that result but that is the law, right?
