Yesterday, I got to help out at a small farm during their yearly shearing. They have about 25 alpacas and 3 Finn sheep. It was a lot of fun. Titanium says hello. #alpacas #fiberfun

My current hyper fixation is reading all of Jane Austen's work this year. (in between my other books as well) First book ✔️.This does differ a bit from the movies I've seen, but I understand why they made the changes. I did not have ANY sympathy for Willoughby. And Lucy? WTH? #janeausten #booktalk

Lying on a bed of moss and dandelions is the book The Silmarillion by J.R.R.Tolkein. Christopher Tolkien editted it. The cover is blue and has a scene of a bunch of women in various poses standing on a shore with a forest and mountains in the background.

A number one NY times bestseller when it was originally published, athe Silmarillion is the core of J.R.R.Tolkein's imaginative writing, a work whose origins stretch back to a time before The Hobbit. Tolkien considered The Silmarillion his most important work, and, though it was published last and posthumously, this great collection of tales and legends clearly sets the stage for all his other writing. The story of the creation of the world and of the First Age, this is the ancient drama to which the characters of The Lord of the Rings look back, and in whose events some of them, such as Elrond and Galadriel, took part. The three Silmarils were jewels created by Fëanor, most gifted of the Elves. Within them was imprisoned the Light of the Two Trees of Valinor before the Trees themselves were destroyed by Morgoth, the first Dark Lord. I was disappointed to see amazon offer sales on this same weekend. As if they don't make enough already. If cost is an issue there are ways to thrift books that don't include using Amazon. PangoBooks, eBay, Thriftbooks, Etsy and local Goodwill stores are a few examples. 2/3

This is a bit of a side quest off the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series. Overall it does have the same vibe, and I'm glad I read it. My only complaint is about how a sexual relationship was portrayed. Terry Jones also wrote one of my favorite 80's movie, Labyrinth. #bookreview #booknerd
