To be honest, I'm kind of all over the place. Welcome to my page. Remember that you are a guest here so don't be a jerk.

This is why you can't separate the art from the "artist". HP was ruined for me the moment I learned she was a terf. All that money and influence, and she chooses to support hate. How sad. #harrypotter #jkrowling #terf #transrightsarehumanrights
Yesterday, I got to help out at a small farm during their yearly shearing. They have about 25 alpacas and 3 Finn sheep. It was a lot of fun. Titanium says hello. #alpacas #fiberfun

Just reposting this which I think is the most gorgeous thing I have seen in my career - a critically endangered orange-bellied parrot feeding on a carpet of daisies after an ecological burn. This was the first time they’d had the chance to feed naturally in 15y and was wonderful to witness

My current hyper fixation is reading all of Jane Austen's work this year. (in between my other books as well) First book ✔️.This does differ a bit from the movies I've seen, but I understand why they made the changes. I did not have ANY sympathy for Willoughby. And Lucy? WTH? #janeausten #booktalk

I don't think that was the thing people were concerned about? Like... of course the show itself isn't going to have Harry look to camera and say something transphobic. The problem is that she's profiting from this.

So many people have said this would be a challenging read. It really isn't, though. It is a bunch of short stories that comprise the lore behind the world that Professor Tolkien created. I found it very entertaining, so don't let it intimidate you! #bookreview #jrrtolkien #thesilmarillion
Happy International Day of the Icelandic Horse!! Haukur got a full grooming and his favorite treats today. The 2nd photo was taken by my instructor last week. I'm not currently riding but hope to be back at it next month. #icelandichorse #nationaldayoftheicelandichorse #horsetherapy #horsegirl

Happy Coronation day to King Aragorn II, Elessar, Estel, son of Arathorn, fostered by Elrond Half-elven, Heir of Isildur, Chieftain of the Dúnedain, unifying King of Gondor and Arnor, descendant of Númenor, formerly known as the scoundrel Strider, opener of double doors, wifeguy to Arwen Undómiel
Just be sure to check individual sellers reviews for web sellers. And of course local libraries are also great. Some even offer e-reader books if you aren't physically close to one. Shopping local is great for businesses and our planet. Happy Reading! End 🧵 #shoplocal #thriftingbooks #booknerd
I was disappointed to see amazon offer sales on this same weekend. As if they don't make enough already. If cost is an issue there are ways to thrift books that don't include using Amazon. PangoBooks, eBay, Thriftbooks, Etsy and local Goodwill stores are a few examples. 2/3
I hope everyone got something nice yesterday during Indie Bookstore Day. I'm lucky to have a few indie stores in my area to frequent. I also use libro.fm for my audiobooks. And for those that don't already know, there is bookshop.org for shipped books. Vote for the world you want with your $$$. 🧵

Interesting fix!
To prevent deer from being hit by cars Finland has tried using reflective paint. (https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/avoid-deer-strikes-finland-painting-deer-antlers-reflective-paint-180949792/)

File this under "solutions to modern problems that summon the old gods."
This is a bit of a side quest off the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy series. Overall it does have the same vibe, and I'm glad I read it. My only complaint is about how a sexual relationship was portrayed. Terry Jones also wrote one of my favorite 80's movie, Labyrinth. #bookreview #booknerd

Not a single word to help the 33m small businesses in this country. Not from anyone in the administration.

So many buy from China, and don't have alternatives.

So many didn't have the cash to front run the tariffs and buy inventory
Brutal and prophetic, considering when it was written, so also terrifying. The author makes me think of things in a new way. Interesting use/version of hyper empathy and religion. TW for all the bad things. Cover art doesn't match the story. Why do they do that? #bookreview #spoilerfree #fictionbook
I love this.
