It's WWE, so they are probably going just to announce that CM Punk is going to wrestle Drew McIntyre for the interim title instead of doing a tournament. Nobody will connect it to AEW doing the exact same thing because UFC does interim championships.
Usually, when something like this happens with a public figure, people have a bunch of screenshots of them posting weird stuff that makes sense in the context of their newly revealed politics. It is a bit odd that it isn't happening given how obsessed with AEW some WWE fans are.

You laugh, but CM Punk said that AEW is bad for wrestling because they offer guaranteed contracts and pay for medical and travel and everyone has spent the last two years treating everyone who signs with WWE for a pittance as heroes who understand wrestling.

Up to this point, the wrestlers for both companies have been reported to be fine with the arrangement because they want to do their part to defeat AEW.
It's been confirmed before that nobody gets paid extra for those appearances because the talent is happy for the exposure and ability to combat the evils of AEW.
I am pretty sure it's been confirmed that they aren't paid extra. I'm pretty sure people like Mike Santana have said they don't want to get paid because WWE is the dream or whatever.
