We had our first adult party post kids (4 and 1) for my wife's birthday ~2 months ago. Pretty sure it's one of those things where you just gotta plan it reasonably far in advance and hope the fomo outweighs people's desire to not give a teenage babysitter $100.

That's also the only way my kids will play with the other kids. Meeting new people is scary so they're going to default to playing with me instead who is safe. But that's bad! It's better for their social development to play with strangers' kids and also they have more fun.

I'll be interested to see how the vibes change when they split into the smaller tables. Historically critical role has a lot of faffing about being silly but right now it feels like every scene has to be important and plot relevant or they won't have time to get to everyone each episode.

Trophied with this. You know it's serious because there are two (2)s. Wanted to try and instant speed mill thing to try and fight through hate and tried Smuggler's Surprise over Cache Grab cause the deck doesn't have any threes already and modality is good. Would run at least one more green source.

Comp play is overwhelmingly defined by the worst cards, biggest design mistakes and power level outliers. Which makes the shotgun approach really bad. But when you're focusing on casual play that doesn't matter cause the bad stuff just won't show up very much and everyone gets their special thing.

I think we played before I had the terrors in here (and getting stuffed by big bear and similar decks because I didn't have a clean OTK is one of the main reasons I switched).

On release you could choose to either double jump or immediately glide based on how long the button was held. People got upset about this so they changed it very quickly which I get but it makes a lot of the later game platforming flow much worse.

Oh also if you were into that GW deck I'm pretty sure it's unplayable into ~all the expensive spells decks including this one so I would recommend trying switching it up.

Reanimator 🏆 let's go!!! Still fiddling around with the SB but I think the red mana gives you pretty substantial. Terror because it's castable in long games + OTKs through interaction like Floodmaw and Torch because 1 mana spells are busted and exiling Vivi is excellent. FOMO also wrecks with Ardyn.
