Jalek Holan always considered himself a rational dragon, that was until one day a strange old book filled with unreadable writing and confusing imagery appeared in his briefcase. https://bluerockoffice.com | https://bluerockoffice.carrd.co

Looking forward to Carlisle Comic Con tomorrow and Saturday! Excited to meet some new faces and show off a special surprise! #comicsky #carlislecomiccon
Inar is currently going through a mini-ice age so its climate is much colder than ot used to be. Due to its rings and double moon, it already tended to have harsher winters and hotter summers than Earth for reference but now its northern half is feeling the freeze.
#<3ocworld What is the climate/weather like in your world?

The graphic design of "Advanced Automation for Space Missions", the 1983 NASA technical report on future GIS systems, semi-autonomous space probes, and self-replicating factories, has such great vibes...

The reason for this is the sheer amount of people who live there that came from all over the world, there wasn't really a large enough population from anywhere. they all had to learn to communicate with each other to survive when it was being explored. Now in the modern era, it goes without saying.
The only place in the world where this 'common' language is the first language taught to its citizens is the island that is partially covered by desert to tundra and attached by ice in the south to the south polar icecap. Its handful of towns and outposts all teach the common as a first language.
The average Edoran citizen uses the "standardized" magic. Speaks whatever dialect Edoran as well as the 'common' language which is taught concurrently from a very young age.
Up until the war, it took off with mixtures of success across the planet. Some places embraced the standardization, some places embraced both the common language and the magic standardization, some places outright rejected both. Edora embraced both.
Examples of this: several villages/parts of cities being wiped off the map, a severe dancing plague that killed several hundred people, a few that were cursed with near incurable hiccups, and a Jagharian leader who, instead of getting a normal health checkup was accidentally turned inside out. etc.
Because along with the attempt to standardize magic came with it a sort of attempt at a "common" language that people could learn to communicate better with. This push for that came after a string of really messed up mishaps that happened with magic in the region.
I'm thinking more about this. It originated from a lady and her soon-to-be husband while they were students (still haven't named them) at the oldest university still operating on Inar. It is in the Jaghar on the Southern continent. It came out of a sort of linguistics club.
If anyone is interested: my Ko-Fi page is a few pages ahead in the comic of what I've been posting, so if you want to read ahead, feel free to join up!

Leenie has been very open to me about being into a certain type of nerd (which her husband fits). Jalek is pretty much into his wife and whatever type of lady she is. even similar characters in other media don't make him love that character, he just goes back to his wife. Wifeguy. #oc #ocsky
#CoupleQuestion💓 Do your OC and their partner fit each other's "preferred type" or are they different from that?
