MFF was a lot of fun but boy am I glad to be home. That Amtrak trip was a horror show. Even the staff were saying things like "I've been doing this 20 years and have never heard of a failure that bad."

No lie this has been an absolute shitshow on Amtrak's part. They had zero communication with us and a lot of us juts had to call to figure our own plans out.
To their credit they got us hotel rooms. That's it.

Either we’re getting bussed back to Chicago and have to take the train tomorrow, pray there’s an open seat on the one tonight (there isn’t one…), or spend even more money to limp to a larger city where we can rent a car. What a disaster, I might not be home until Thursday now…
