20 years old at Uni. I hooked up with a lass, and in the (late) morning, she goes "Liam, I like you, and let's do this again, but you can fuck off now"
how do you politely tell a hookup that they have massively overstayed their welcome?

I'm only 12 stars in, so about 10% of the game, but already I feel this probably in the top 3 games i've ever played.

Every galaxy has hit me with some wild mechanic so far. The only flaw really is that the joy con motion controls suck. Prefer playing it in handheld, not docked mode.
I'd not played Super Mario Galaxy before, but it's simply incredible.

I wanted dinner recommendations so I scraped 13,000+ London restaurants and accidentally discovered Google Maps is running a shadow economy. Anyway here's a dashboard and a political economy thesis: open.substack.com/pub/laurenle...
How Google Maps quietly allocates survival across London’s restaurants - and how I built a dashboard to see through it
I wanted a dinner recommendation and got a research agenda instead. Using 13000+ restaurants, I rebuild its ratings with machine learning and map how algorithmic visibility actually distributes power.

10kg of sea salt, bought for £20, which represents a saving of £230 at 2025 prices over buying it at my local coop. Plus I don’t need to buy salt for another decade.

You can spend 10's or 100's on a child's cars seat and they all will be a pan in the arse to get in the car.

Lies, damned lies and the Telegraph. They posted CSJ figures using an outrageously false comparison of 2 cases. It claimed a benefits family were better off by £18k than a working household when the real figure was £16k worse off. The details benefitsinthefuture.com #benefits #budget

We're going to be back in a years time, with them needing to raise income taxes and being a year closer to the next election.
Where we are on budget now👇

- Treasury confirms stronger than expected OBR forecasts means fiscal gap nearer £20bn than £30-£40bn. Reeves also wants headroom of £15bn

- Reeves doesn’t need to become first chancellor in 50 years to raise basic rate income tax - breaching central manifesto promise

Ok, so Fate of Ophelia is the first Taylor Swift song that has earwormed me since Style on 1989.

You'll get promotion after promotion at big tech companies for spunking billions of dollars up the wall, but you'll
never get a promotion for saying "Here's why this is a bad idea, I can save you billions."
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

I know nothing about Dr Who, but, for Londoners, the phrase "Going For Dinner With Billie Piper" is the absolute best way to remember the order of the vertical streets running east to west in Soho (Greek, Frith, Dean, Wardour, Berwick, Poland) and has saved many a late night out

A very worrying escalation of online harassment.

Somebody has used a video of me saying "racism in football is a game of two halves" + put a fake voiceover on it saying "what I would say to the girls of Rotherham is it is a game of two halves"

I don't know what assets #SWFC can sell right now to pay off the creditors. The chairman owns hillsborough and the training ground, and they cannot sell any players until Jan.
