NO DMS, please. The ultimate cinephile, along with some friends who don’t see as many films. We’ll mostly talk about the movies we’ve seen right after we see them. I also stream on twitch under blinkwave21, playing project sekai and reviewing movies.
Saw eternity today. It is an interesting throwback romcomdram that explores a unique version of the afterlife that feels fitting for distributor a24. The set design of the afterlife junction is absolutely stunning in how modern yet throwbacky it is.

Saw wake up dead man today. It is a very good film in a variety of ways, from varied and fascinating portrayals of the Christian faith, to an engrossing mystery focused more on the ways than the who’s and ending off with the fact that it is just extremely will made in all

Saw jay kelly today. It’s a pretty good film, one would say great if it was anyone else, but for Noah baumbach it kind of fell short for me. The tribute moment in the third act felt a bit more like self aggrandizement for George Clooney than something like what Babylon

Saw left handed girl today. This film is filled with sweetness, drama and the intrigue that the best films fill you with after you watch. Shih Ching tsou directs this film with an eye toward the people you don’t normally focus on and the unique drama that comes from a

Saw train dreams today. It is one of the most beautiful films I’ve seen thus year, perfectly capturing the beauty of the natural world and showing off the most incredible performance I’ve seen from Joel edgerton, possibly the best of his entire career thus far.

Saw hamnet today. It is one of the most incredible, moving and heartwrenching yet heartwarming films I’ve seen all year. The film explores how we cope with tragedy and the beauty of family, acting and storytelling especially when they bring others together.

Saw zootopia 2 today. It is a worthy follow-up to the first film, while adding some fun new characters to this truly vibrant world. This film is just as timely as the first one, tackling themes of land erasure and land theft while also exploring living up to h

Saw sentimental value today. It is another home run from director Joachim trier and star Renate reinsve. This is one of my favorite films of the year, by far. A great story of relationships, film making and the power of storytelling to heal people.

Saw rental family today. It was very good and filled with so much warmth and heart while exploring a unique aspect of Japanese culture and how a gaijin or, non-native, would experience that. The story shows how connections can come from the most unique places And that everyone has a bit of a Kami

Saw wicked for good today. It was ok but like the stage production it doesn’t have as many memorable songs and the ozian revisions may be hit or miss to some viewers. However, no good deed makes the watch worth it, Cynthia erivo absolutely killed that song, my entire audience app

Saw now you see now you don’t today. It’s so much fun and is proof of Reuben fleischer’s ability to slip into any franchise and add to its magic. The chemistry between the new and old horseman and cameos from fan favorite characters paired with some incredible tricks and action

Saw the running man today. It’s a good film but not a good Edgar wright film, his trademark fast editing is barely seen when this film would have been perfect for that kinetic spirit. There are plenty of homages to Stephen king and the Schwarzenegger film that fans can enjoy.

Saw keeper today. The film was not a keeper to me, dangling too many threads that don’t all come together in the end. Osgood Perkins makes another fairytale film but doesn’t commit until the very end, using way too many fades in the process, which totally dilutes their purpose.

Saw it was just an accident today. It is a powerfully important and haunting film that shows the power of assumptions and where they can lead, leaving the audience to interpret the key mystery for themselves. I watched this with my mom and as we left the theater

Saw predator badlands today. The film is a showcase for Dimitrious schuster-koloamatangi, who physically embodies and voices desk while also providing the voice for his father as well, he has such a good voice for the yautja language that was created for this film.

Saw Guillermo Del Toro’s Frankenstein today. Do not expect a book accurate adaptation, instead be open to a film that uses the all time literary classic as a springboard to explore the unique ideas found in the mind of one of this century’s greatest directors.

Saw bugonia today. It is yet another hit for yorgos lanthimos and doubly so for his pairing with Emma stone. This film grounds the story of the original Korean save the green planet, making it into more of a Hitchcockian thriller than the equally as great wild comedy of the orig

Saw Springsteen deliver me from nowhere today. It is a very good snapshot music biopic and makes for a perfect companion to 20th century studios previous Bob Dylan snapshot music biopic. The story this film tells hits hard so be prepared to cry as you watch this film.

Saw blue moon today. It’s a pretty decent from Richard linklater but certainly not his best but it is also not his worst. As a character study it is pretty good but can feel a bit like a cameo fest with some feeling more shoehorned in than others, although I shan’t name names.

Saw if I had legs I’d kick you today. It is an excellent way to experience anxiety at the theater, as the main character’s devolving grasp on her situation leads to everything else around her crumbling, both literally and figuratively.

Saw after the hunt today. It is a film that had the potential to be great, talented director, amazing cast and perfect score, but in the pursuit of some higher truth about the rich and the poor, students and faculty and right and wrong

Saw the black phone 2 today. It gets an extra point for featuring FEX’s subways of your mind prominently at the beginning of the film. The cast is at the top of their game and the film evolves the ghostly premise to give you a new nightmare of which people have been craven.

Saw fairyland today. It is one of the best films of the year and also one of the most timely as well. It will hit you very hard but with every gut punch there is an equal amount of heart, humor and warmth, so that it doesn’t completely break you.

Saw good boy today. If you are a dog lover, steel yourself because this is a hard watch, especially if you have a dog. The techniques used in making this film and the unique effects on the ghosts captivate the viewer in a way that only this film can.
