My org @fightforthefuture.org has been “de-googling” for the last year.

We’re totally off Google suite, Google docs, Drive, Calendar.

We’re using Signal and Element for chat, Nextcloud for docs, etc

Planning to publish a “how to” guide for other nonprofits and activist groups soonish.

I use James Baldwins fucked love map and history IN REALITY and not what he'd ejaculate on the page to expound on why age gap relationships in Queer men is still a no go.

There’s been a new Black Digital Arts Renaissance happening, and @blaqueword.bsky.social has been documenting it as much as he’s been a part of it. His access to art began with his grandmother Kandy Kane.

So the jurors confirmed in the Diddy Doc that rape culture is why Diddy got his ruling.

I have to say this doc is just horrible at centering victims, naming rape culture or citing any experts or women with a powerful understanding of the predominant harm Hip Hop moguls perpetuate at women.

I knew the Sean Combs doc would get to bashing single Black mothers but they got to it quick.

Peak Atlantic.
The administration is extorting universities for billions of dollars and attempting to destroy free speech, academic freedom, and independent thought but the Atlantic talked to a few professors at elite universities who think the problem is that some students need a little extra time on exams

The funniest part of ths Black Entertainment industry is how quick someone will offer to help you with a project because they plan on not responding to the message until AFTER its already successful.

I remember having a conversation at Gen Con with another dev and he tried to tell me that "its ok to be bad."

I knew what he meant, but I told him simple. "I'm Black. I can't afford to be bad. EVER."

He didn't get it.

Its funny cause I was just thinking about when I saw this.

Even when we are perfect we will always still be Black and thus unworthy or at best, unrelateable to way too many people. If we aren't it just fulfills the negative preconceptions of our abilities in those people's eyes. We can't afford mediocrity and greatness is exhausting.

I want to be able to expect victory for less and be surprised, no indignant when I am met with failure.

I got up today and I thought...

"I just might not be talented enough to out work my Blackness."

And I wanted to cry.

This emphasis that Black writers prove themselves at everry level is frustrating. Especially when its other Black people doing it.
