“What’s the worst that could happen if we invest in our public streets? We improve our quality of life?” Scott Bricker of @bikepgh.bsky.social #PGHVisionZero
This is awful news, especially hearing that the boy sustained “traumatic injuries” to his lower extremities.

Remember, when you get behind the wheel of a car, real lives are on the line. Our hearts are with the victims at this time.
"Police said alcohol may be a potential factor in the collision. No arrests or charges were immediately announced. The investigation is ongoing."
In the middle of a busy school zone, a driver jumped the curb and hit a woman and a 12-year-old boy on the sidewalk outside of Pittsburgh Public Schools’ Westinghouse Academy in Homewood yesterday afternoon.
It's been 10 years since a driver struck and killed Susan Hicks while she was bike commuting home from Pitt. So much has changed in the Oakland area since then.

On Oct 23rd, join Susan's friends and family, & BikePGH for a memorial and bike ride to Two Frays to celebrate her life and legacy.

As we wait for more information on this incident involving a PRT bus near near Rhine & Buente St, we hope that this tragedy will result in better conditions for others in this residential neighborhood.
We are saddened to hear about yesterday's pedestrian fatality, a 50-year-old woman in Spring Hill on Pittsburgh’s Northside.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends.

This upgrade would not have gotten this far without Councilman Bobby Wilson and Mayor Ed Gainey's commitment to traffic safety.
