One World War. Hate to be "that guy," but we weren't fighting fascism in WWI.
As a child, I read a book about a young girl who was babysitting. The baby started to choke to death from diptheria, and I was so horrified! And so glad we had vaccines. Who, in their right mind, would choose sickness and death over life-saving vaccines?
True! I had a relative who had polio. I remember getting our shots - and also the smallpox vaccination. Since vaccines didn't exist for measles and chicken pox, we had to suffer through those. The doctor hung a "Quarantine" sign on our front door.
Vertigo has amateurish special effects, an unbelievable plot, a comic villain, and Kim Novak (yuk). The best things about it are the location shots of San Francisco and Barbara Bel Geddes.
Most recent I heard was 8.1 million.
.... and anyhow, we suspect shenanigans. How could he have won? Shenanigans!
I think some are religious and believe that destroying the government is a good idea because it will bring on the end of days. They don't care how awful he is; they think he's God's instrument. Terrifying thought, isn't it?
Jake Gittes: How much are you worth?
Noah Cross: I have no idea. How much do you want?
Jake Gittes: I just wanna know what you're worth. More than 10 million?
Noah Cross: Oh my, yes!
Jake Gittes: Why are you doing it? How much better can you eat? What could you buy that you can't already afford?
But once you GET rich - witness Carnegie and Gates's mentor Buffett - why not give it away?
Sorry - Hoosier born and bred. What's happening in politics there is terrifying.
I tried to look up Jack Lemmon's production company, and Chat GPT thought it was Tony Curtis's. 😒
One thing that makes *this* boomer mad as hell is that we already fought all these battles. Who knew they could take away Roe v. Wade, e.g.? We marched for Women's Lib and against war, and for civil rights - and here we are again.

With the HUGE turnout today, I am even more convinced that the 2024 election was rigged by Melon and the first felon.
Not in any metric that matters. 😁
Interesting that it seems to be all women on the Panel. What do we think the chances are of getting Musk, Bezos, or Zuck to give up a penny to anyone?
Oh, thanks! I didn't know that. Learn something new every day ... 😁 But since he doesn't have any power or say-so, and no Royal duties, he's just like Harry, hanging around on the edges.
He was a Prince by birth. Under their monarchy, you can't take that away.

I say again, governors should be ordering State Police to arrest I.C.E. “agents” who’re openly committing crimes like assault, kidnapping and stalking in their states.
And State Prosecutors should be filing charges, forcing the Feds to defend these putzes in court—and in the court of public opinion.
Thank you! I wondered .... 😊
This seems important.
My husband’s ballot came in the mail. Mine did not. I looked into why and…

I was purged from the voting roll.

It's a title that's in the gift of the Sovereign. Elizabeth gave Andrew the title when he got married, as I recall. She gave Edward the title of Earl of Wessex when he married. What the sovereign gives, s/he can take away .... I thought Harry renounced his titles?
Why are they showing it at all?
