this headline, and much of the reporting, is the result of believing that the key to good journalism is never taking a position
NEW: The F.D.A. announced in an internal memo that 10 children died "because of" the Covid shot. Other experts want to see proof.

“This is a profound revelation,” Dr. Prasad's memo said. “For the first time, the U.S. F.D.A. will acknowledge that Covid-19 vaccines have killed American children.”

Even by the standards of anti-woke journalism this is lazy dreck. The first piece of "evidence" that older gamers are mad about wokeness is a random Reddit comment — that isn't a complaint about wokeness.

This is so problematic. Creating big-money grants (7m EUR!) is such a travesty. Instead of funding 1 researcher, why not fund 25 with smaller grants? It would create more ideas, secure more careers, and create so much more innovative knowledge. www.researchprofessionalnews.com/rr-news-euro...

Important thread
I served as our Ambassador in Ukraine for 3 years under Putin’s missiles and drones but resigned when Trump kept appeasing Putin. America does not bow to dictators. It’s not who we are.

Here's why this Trump-Putin so-called "peace plan" is a disaster:

Je remets ça là.
Pour beaucoup de français, il est difficile d’accepter avoir été gouverné 5 ans par deux individus prêts à conspirer avec des puissances étrangères pour accroître leur pouvoir et leur richesse.

I chose Larry Summers.

“White House Say HuffPost Journalist’s Mom Chose Trump-Putin Meeting Location” would have been a fine headline for a properly sourced article.
Any journalist who has reached out to the federal government for a statement this year can attest to the unhinged responses they always get. I picked a couple of examples www.liberalcurrents.com/the-war-on-p...

I am not surprised that the first MAGA types to break from Trump are lunatics with principles and not “traditional-value” conservatives, why are you?
November 16, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Yes and the same thing happens on the left when it clusters on just one platform. Not saying we should go back to X but important to keep in mind.

When everyone was on the same platform, the left was more united and dominated the discourse.

With clustering, each camp eats itself.
morbidly sociologically curious about whether there's a relationship between this and the clustering of right wingers on Truth Social + exodus of libs and the left from Twitter, etc
“.. It's still overwhelmingly pro-Trump — but less relevant .. These days, MAGA can spend more time eating its own than feasting on liberals or establishment Republicans.”

By their own definition of victory, the democrats have lost.

They chose to make the shutdown about the extension of ACA subsidies. They did not get it. They could have chosen to make it about something else. This deal shows either lack of foresight or follow-through.
