Does taxes for dead people. Should have been a comedian. QAF 🌈
All four refused to admit that Trump lost the 2020 election. They will soon be federal judges for life!!! Look how young they are too! This is why we will never be able to "return to normal" after Trump is gone. The seeds of authoritarianism are being sowed for a generation!!
Another batch of Trump's judicial nominees refused in their confirmation hearings today to publicly acknowledge that Joe Biden won the 2020 election, which annoyed Sen. Richard Blumenthal enough for him to call them "monkeys" and "puppets"

The Trump regime has a record number of detainees in concentration camps, and they are busy expanding the concentration camp network to more than double current capacity. People of color are being randomly stopped on the street and violently, often at gunpoint, snatched away and sent into the camps.

While our international allies are disentangling from the United States, I believe that states with similar democratic values should as well.

Dr Oz: "If we could get the average American to start working a year earlier, right out of high school, or a year later -- not retire -- or work better during their lifetime because they're healthy, it would generate about $3 trillion to the US economy. That would more than remove the debt."

Even if you don't have time to read all 83 pages of Judge Reyes's opinion barring the Trump administration from rescinding Temporary Protected Status for 350,000+ Haitians, please at least check out the four-page introduction.

They said "free speech" and "academic freedom" but never believed in either and now in texas you need a permission slip to mention race in class and they're fine with it. Might not have worked if people with large platforms weren't furious about marginal increases of black people in their offices

We need to seize this framing and build it out so it is the theme of the summer, in light of the 250th anniversary of 1776. Trump is going to try so hard to appropriate this for himself, but we need to make it about the renewal of our common revolutionary ideals versus the tyranny of the king.
Great point from @virginiaheffernan.bsky.social: The spectacle of ordinary people in Minneapolis courageously protecting each other from the ICE invasion is itself inspiring and contrasts powerfully with Miller/Bovino totalitarian cruelties.

They talk and act like it's a military occupation, are equiped in full battle gear brandishing assault rifles, they've executed 2 people in the community, and they keep complaining they can't eat at a restaurant?!?!
Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Last week in Minnesota, I watched ordinary people risk their lives to protect their neighbors. In the process, they not only won a significant—though not final—victory against authoritarianism, they proved virtually every MAGA social theory wrong. (gift link) www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

I thought we were supposed to tolerate children being murdered in schools, so we have the right to carry guns to protect ourselves against a tyrannical government sending masked goons into our neighborhoods to snatch and murder people?! Or is that exclusively a MAGA right?

I will add, don't get wedded to issues now. Current issue salience won't mean shit in 9-10 months. Remember, 10 months ago, we were all talking about DOGE and eggs and the Gulf of America.
I will repeat: It is not obvious, based on the data, that campaigning on the economy in Nov would be significantly more effective than campaigning on immigration. Gov. policy is dramatically out of step with the public on immigration/deportations, and executive overreach is a potent motivator
