The first art I made in my manic high after finishing the game: a monochrome, heavily textured digital drawing of the King of Rot. Might I say, Your Majesty, you are looking absolutely rotten today! Just foul, disgusting, nasty <3 <3

A lineless digital painting of King K. Rool with his cape flowing out behind him. His eyes are closed, but his bloodshot one is ever so slightly open. His right hand is wearing a boxing glove, and he cradles his blunderbuss under that arm. His left hand is raised, and above him arch seven bananas, each successive one from left to right in an increased state of decay, until the final one above his hand is melting with rot. His kopter-pack pokes up from behid him as well. Vibrant brambles curl around him, with darker ones further in the background. A halo-like burst of light emanates from behind his head.

Art I drew the night of the game's release. At the time, I said: "Donkey Kong smiling at Pauline, who is on his shoulder, smiling back at him. In the background is a glowing golden crockoid skeleton and a broken banandium gem. There is also a frame with a pattern reminiscent of the DK arcade girder motif seen throughout the game (it can also represent a specific pattern seen in a very specific place elsewhere, but who knows? I certainly don't know. I can only hope)."

A few deaths in DKC2 and DKC3, but pretty happy overall!

Finally a DKC All Stages PB I'm proud of!

Nailed every major trick in the run, minor movement mistakes here and there, but overall pretty solid run.

I'll return for a 31 eventually, but for now I'm moving on to the next speedgame.
