Got crafty this year, for my daughter's 2nd Christmas I made her a full on custom, hand made DonkeyKong golden book since she got so into DK watching me play Bananza. Gonna be hard waiting a whole month to give it to her!
Mostly followed the Mario golden book's story but added a couple extra bits.

Took Lanky Kong’s statue to the western islet off DK Island that seems to correspond to the same islet in Donkey Kong Country where the level Orang-Utan Gang is set, which the German Donkey Kong 64 website established as Utan Island, birthplace of Lanky.

While not without its personal struggles, 2025 has EASILY been the best year I've had in over a decade. I'm thankful to everyone who has cared for me throughout it and who has allowed me into their lives in any way. I'm thankful for certain people I have the privilege to know, help and support too.

It may have simply been too late to rework a level that complex, but - I say this with absolute sincerity - I respect and am happy that they seemingly didn't act on this feedback whatsoever.
Playtesters for Banjo-Tooie did not like Grunty Industries.

LRT is absolutely true and important. Although I did get halfway through it misreading "favorite creator" as "favorite character" and I was like no, I think he's the person in that universe who doubts himself the absolute least.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.

I still struggle to reconcile the renewed joy I've gotten out of certain fandom spaces in the past year with my conviction and experience of the overall negative effects of social media and the internet. The feeling of belonging and understanding I experience when engaging with certain stuff VS. --
