Today was a strange day. It would have been my Mum Eloise’s 97th birthday today, 7/10/25. (She died in December 2021). I had a busy day but all the time she was at the back of my mind. It’s a peculiar feeling NOT having to buy a birthday card for your Mother. RIP Eloise 😘

Yesterday’s Woman’s Hour was good IMHO from the point of view women survivors who were invited to join the enquiry panel. I kept reminding myself who the (legal) powers that be were during earlier enquiry’s. #justsaying

I have a regular EVRI delivery person. They communicate well. Parcels no longer go astray. Can’t be doing with D-D. Unreliable and tell porkies

In her childhood. Some types of physical punishment can do a lot of harm. I used to find the term used by some very damaged people. 2/2

Occasional smacking - one smack is one thing. Some parents took it too far as @adrynan.bsky.social has stated. A child can become brutalised by weapons & humiliating words. I’m thinking of family situations. In my family a particular look from a parent was enough. The daughter attests to this,..1/2
