That is genuinely fantastic. Love stories like this!

21. Sensible World of Soccer

I've spent my life chasing a soccer game that I enjoyed as much as I loved SWOS. It doesn't exist. This is where soccer games peaked. Fans still make updates to this day!
A screenshot from what appears to be Sensible World of Soccer '96/97, which is probably the last version I played regularly.

There's not a lot of Doctor Who smut out there. Not through official channels, at least...

This is your annual reminder that the Synthesis version of "Bring Me to Life" is superior to the original version in every conceivable way.

The charm of these patch notes has me actually curious about Bubsy 4D. Maybe it's good? No idea! But they're having fun and that's the best place to start with any game as far as I'm concerned.

We just updated the Bubsy 4D Demo! Check out the patch notes below.
- Bubsy 3D's face is now capable of blinking. We have the technology.
- Bubsy 3D's texture no longers becomes nightmare fuel on low quality settings.
- Bubsy isn't as obsessed about how Woolie's smell anymore.
- Dropdown's in the settings don't have an existential crisis anymore.
- Removed language options until Bubsy learns how to speak anything other than English.
- Brought back framerate settings so you can ogle at Bubsy 120 times per second.
- The "Cutscene Skip" toggle no longer prevents you from entering the VR menu. No more excuses, get in the robot Bubsy!
- Added a climbable grid on both sides of the building at the end of "Heartfelt Village" so you don't regret your life choices more than usual.
- We had a talk with the camera man and he promised the camera should now glitch less when hopping around as a hairball and with certain slanted geometry. If it still does, blame him and not us.
- The camera man also told us he'll obey the laws of physics and clip into objects like the felt houses less, which is nice.
- If you're Bubsy look away: Added a new unique death when getting flattened by spiky cars.
- Told the total timer to take up less space and long leaderboard names to abide to its confines. Cheeky things.

I'd put The Space Pirates in the bottom tier, but otherwise I mostly agree with this ranking.

Really proud of this season, and as I work on post-production the finished show already sounds so much better than this trailer. You're in for a treat!

(Also listen to season 1 if you haven't already.)

Nah, Shada was the other way around (unfinished and unaired TV story, later adapted into an unrelated novel, then eventually novelized, THEN finished and aired).

I picked up The Chimes of Midnight as well, but I'm reading Jubilee first because I've not listened to that one half as often as Chimes.

A coworker, seeing me read a book on my tablet, asked what I'm reading. But it'd be far too weird to say "It's a novelization of a Doctor Who audioplay that was later loosely adapted into an episode of the revived TV series and has itself already been novelized," so I just said, "nerd book."

Seems like now would be a GREAT time for @bigfinish.bsky.social to reissue Jubilee and Chimes of Midnight with fancy new cover art and the current Doctor Who logo.

20. Lemmings

One of the earliest games I remember playing. I used to draw pictures of Lemmings levels as a kid, and tell stories of finishing particularly difficult levels, much to the annoyance of my peers and teachers.
A screenshot of Lemmings. Uh oh! How will our green-haired heroes get out of this one? Etc.

Hey all! I'm running Curse of Strahd for the first time. Really excited! But I have a question: Strahd's stats say his bat form has a walking speed of 5 feet and a flying speed of 30 feet, and his wolf form's walking speed is 40 feet, but it doesn't list his wolf form's flying speed. Anyone know wh

I had a US retail copy of Worms 2, the Armageddon Collection version of WA, and original copies of WWP and W3D. I replaced them with Sold Out versions due to disc wear and and tear.
benpaddon.net
I still have a ton of Sold Out games. My current physical copies of W2, WA, WWP and W3D are all the Sold Out versions. My very first was the big box version of Atomic Bomberman.

They were so cheap my mum would sometimes just pick me a game at random from Woolworths while she was out shopping.

I'll be honest, I suspect I've done slightly more than one a day at this point, but hey. I'll stop when I get to 365.

1. The Secret of Monkey Island

When I was 3 or 4, I watched my cousin Andy play this game for hours. I wanted to play it so badly, but I couldn't read yet.

According to Andy and my mum, I learned to read specifically so I could play Monkey Island. I think I was 5 or 6 when I completed it.

19. Grand Theft Auto: London 1969

In the UK, Sold-Out Software did budget re-releases for £5. They also a "premium" range called Sold-Out Extreme priced at £10.

I bought GTA London on the off-chance it would work with the pirated copy of GTA I had. It did! Hooray!

Currently editing @jumpleads.zone episode 2.5. There's a couple of pretty Great cameos in this one! #FoD #FriendOfDeSoto
Two tracks in audio editing software. One is labeled "[Bathroom] Lead #1 - Benjamin", the other "[Bathroom] Lead #2 - Adam".

Currently weighing up the pros and cons of releasing @jumpleads.zone season 2 weekly or biweekly. It's six episodes either way. We did weekly for season 1.

When it comes to audiodrama podcasts, what's your preference? Would you rather have one a week for six weeks, or one episode biweekly for 12?
