This was an interesting way to learn that this dude attended George Washington University at the same time I did. Another banner day for the GW Hippos....
I don’t understand why anyone’s debating this — a Nazi tattoo is a non starter, full stop.

This is a race for a U.S. Senate seat. The bar for candidates to clear doesn’t have to be insanely high, but it should at least be off the ground
I had that same thought after reading a New York Times piece from June with the headline: "$4,785. That’s How
Much It Costs to Be a Sports Fan Now."

In a lot of words, I wrote about why that piece missed the mark:

How much does it really cost to be a sports fan?
Fans now may be paying more to watch games, but paywalls are nothing new for the old ball game

In honor of the NBA on NBC and basketball's return tonight, the cost for fans to watch every game across all the various channels and streaming platforms is again a topic.

Here's @bomani-jones.bsky.social's take: "Not sure why ppl think seeing EVERY nba game is a birthright."
Jets owner Woody Johnson with support for head coach Aaron Glenn, less so for QB Justin Fields: "It looks like [Glenn is] turning around parts of it. It's hard when you have a quarterback with a rating that he's got. He has the ability, but something is just not jiving."

Jets owner Woody Johnson calls Aaron Glenn ‘real deal,’ believes he can turn team around
Jets owner Woody Johnson voiced his support for first-year head coach Aaron Glenn and expressed some criticism of starting quarterback Justin Fields' performance.

When you transcribe what Brian Windhorst just said about the Knicks and Giannis Antetokounmpo, you see how this just doesn't really say anything. Meaning is sooo muddled.
I may have been laying it on a little thick, but I regret nothing:
The Orioles haven't won a postseason game since the Oct. 5, 2014 when Bud Norris out-dueled David Price who was a hard-luck 2-1 loser thanks to a two-run Nelson Cruz home run.

It's been 4,033 days between playoff wins. That's getting close to the 5,471 day gap from 1997-2012.
Also, if David Rubenstein talks about a salary cap or how hard it is to compete as a small-market team or talk about focusing on providing 'family-focused experience' then he should be villified as Peter Angelos 2.0.
Yes, Mike Elias got Orioles to 101 wins AL East title and 91 wins WC before a 75-win 2025, but after going 0-5 in the postseason, keeping the deadweight manager, failing in almost every free agent signing, and divisional rivals reach World Series in back-to-back years... patience is thin.
I'm not saying this offseason is the most important in the history of the franchise since they arrived in Baltimore, but if Mike Elias' putzes around and the Orioles are meh, everybody should get fired by the All-Star break.
Shades of Buck Showalter leaving Zack Britton with a 0.54 ERA and 0.836 WHIP sit in the bullpen during the 2016 AL Wild Card game which led me to writing this wild piece about Orioles fans and being banished to the "baseball Land of Nod, to the east of Eden."

Maybe Muñoz has an abscess on his butt like Tanner Scott and had to leave the stadium.
Why did Eugenio Suárez go crazy about a called third strike that clipped the zone? Becasue Pitch 2 was called a ball and Pitch 7 was called a strike. Makes no sense if consistency isn't there.
Folks: Words don't come out of his mouth good.
smoltz just said "he's a one-man wrecking crew but he's had a lot of help" and I'm not gonna make it folks
From a few years back, something I wrote on Kyrie Irving, anti-semitism, forgiveness and, what Stephen A. Smith would call, "things of that nature." benkrimmel.substack.com/p/kyrie-irvi...
Of course, with Kyrie Irving's other nonsense conspiracy theory related musings, I guess we are one step closer to this Stephen A. Smith tweet becoming reality:
Stephen A. Smith, if he believes Kyrie Irving was right about the vaccine (he wasn't) and deserves praise for foresight (he doesn't), should explain what exactly he means when he says "all the conspiracy theories that came out."

Shocker that Stephen A. political commentator is off to bad start.
Stephen A. Smith’s pivot to political punditry is going as well as you’d expect
Another part in a long-standing series called: ‘Well, that’s a concerning thing to hear as an American Jew.’
Chip Roy: "The truth is the marxist, radicals, and Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth. The truth is that there is a king and that king is Jesus. And the president has been willing to say it, & Charlie Kirk was willing to say it & he got killed for it."
The Giants offense “gained” 20 yards on that touchdown drive: 19 yard pass on 4th down and the one yard touchdown run by Jaxson Dart. They lost 4 on a sack and lost 5 on a delay.

But they gained 54 yards on three Broncos penalties
I asked my doctor after I was experiencing acute HAYNES KING withdrawal.
We made it 22 seconds of game time until they called the first "disaster" for UNC and Bill Belichick.
…is that a UNC turnover already?
Brian Anderson mentioned Willie Stargell on the call, which is a great pull because it reminded me of this Mark McGwire home run with the Vin Scully call, which mentioned Wilver's dinger: youtu.be/-BmNvWc6_3Y?...
