One thing I’ve learned as a School Board Trustee - the learning never stops! Going into my third year on the board I have learned a lot and am comfortable leading, but the depth of knowledge is so deep I have to keep going. The CA School Board Assoc. Education Conference allows me to do just that.

In politics, there are two separate, yet equally important tasks - getting elected and effectively governing. The skills for one are often at odds with the skills of the other. Look for the people who can do both.
