So far I have beaten Gunstar Heroes, Streets of Rage 1, Ninja Gaiden NES, and Metal Garden for my 52 game challenge, where I attempt to finish 52 games within a years span in an effort to limit my social media time. So far, it’s been going great.

Gunstar Heroes is my favorite Genesis game, btw.

I’ve only touched bluesky like four times this week briefly as an effort to not doomscroll, get out more, and enjoy my hobbies better.

Z-A discourse is fascinating to me. I don’t really play Pokémon but I don’t hear anyone complaining about the action mechanics. Clock Town was that moment for me. The concept of a town alive with a schedule in a video game was so foreign to me as a child, but it tickled my brain in a way that got me more invested in that town than any other in the series.

In an effort to combat doom-scrolling and poor mental health, I’m going to use my spare time to beat 52 games within a year’s span. I did this during Covid and it kept me sane. I’ll start after my trip next week.

I played this in my youth and remember really loving them, especially Chaos Theory. I'm wondering how difficult they are to get running properly on a modern PC, because I really want to revisit them. When it came to gameplay, I always preferred them over MGS; hot take.
