I've always found these kinds of manipulative rules both abusive to the employee and creepy to the customer. You want your employees to connect better with customers? Pay them well. They'll be thrilled to come to work and do their jobs, naturally!

I need a new set of haircutting shears for work. The US doesn't manufacture ANY but complete trash (we're talking plastic handles!) and to replace the Japanese ones I have there's a seller in CA that has them on Ebay. They're $380 and the tariff is $133! Why are we allowing this?!

My son's an Autistic adult struggling through college (with support services) and relies on SNAP to supplement his part time job at Ross. It'd be hard for anyone. Without this help college is unattainable. And he pays his taxes!
This isn’t a focus in the Discourse because the loudest voices with the biggest platforms are people who have never worried about their next meal. I’ve needed SNAP; I’ve used SNAP; I’ve lost it when it mattered. This is going to be a wave of mass starvation beyond living memory in this country.
I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.
