Well, um, all you need to do is look at the comments when it we heard Rachel was coming on BB27 😆 - the young'uns loved her BB12/13 TV edits, a lot of us that watched her on the feeds not-so-much (I've always said I heard she's a wonderful person outside the house & I was fine with her this season)

Allison's Co-producer, Al Shapiro (BB2-7) was best known for 'Scared Straight' before BB & to me you can tell in the editing - much more documentary-like. And it always felt like things changed once he was gone.

I have no way of knowing but I have to assume if you looked at the make up / experience of the creative staff in the early years vs now it is incredibly different.

Its a terribly tough show to edit since its live & they don't know who's going to be around at the end.

I think they've defaulted to more comps / gags / sound effects in more recent years than actual content. How many times do we need to hear "I really want to win this one" in one episode?

I've talked about this a lot.

The TV edit now is 85% recaps of comps, "twists" & a few select storylines.

Just compare DR entries on the show over they years - that tells you how much the editing has changed.

I will be watching it, sadly on delay which means I'll probably have to mute most people to avoid spoilers. I remember trying to watch it back in 2012/13/14 (seasons 9/10/11) and having to avoid twitter on live noms & evictions.
