In my experience, being the best at my job led to being taken advantage of by supervisors who took all the credit for my ideas, gave me more work for negligible pay increases & sabotaged my attempts to move to other departments. 🤷‍♀️

I went to college for 3 yrs then couldn’t afford to finish. Still trying to pay down $40k in student loans 20 yrs later.

Wish I’d done vocational school instead. For HVAC or auto repair. I would’ve had steady work & reliable income instead of this endless struggle.
