The Hokkaido Wolf, or Ezo Okami, was another victim to the Meiji Restoration, also facing extinction from the same policies enacted.

This wolf could be found all over the Northeast Coast of Asia and was even found on the island of Sakhalin!

They were finally brought to extinction after policies enacted during the Meiji Restoration that led to the mass eradication of the subspecies of wolf by the early 20th century.

Some still believe the wolves live, but there has been very little evidence brought forward to prove this.

Interesting Wolf Fact!; There used to be wolves in Japan! That’s right, they used to be literally all over the world!

Specifically found on the islands of Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu, the Japanese wolf, or Honshu Wolf, faced near extinction due to the introduction of rabies and canine distemper.

Alexa says: I was able to raise about $1500, but that was a couple months ago. And since then I've just kinda fallen further and further into a financial hole.

At the beginning of August, I had to leave my housing situation because my dog and I were no longer safe living there. I've been bouncing around, paying for places, sleeping in my car, and paying for expensive dog care while at work. Trying to just keep a roof over our heads, while also working full time.

I'm so overwhelmed and hopeless tbh - not to be dramatic, sorry. I will officially be out of options on Oct 15th and am not really sure what to do.

Beadwork isn’t just “Talent”; it’s hard work, practice, and patience.

The first picture is my first ever attempts at beading, and the last two is where I’m at now.

I worked on beadwork every single day to get to where I’m at today. I put a lot of time, effort, and heart into this.
