My name is Anthony Woodward, I’m an Australian comic artist who lives in Canada.
I love making non-fiction comics mostly ‘autofiction’ and more recently about UFOs.
I also like drawing robot junk heaps and a couple of years ago I made an all ages comic called Bored in Space.

Looks like I’m going to have to take a self imposed drawing break. I’ve been getting head pressure from overwork and stress and now even just the simple and enjoyable act of concentration from drawing can flare it up.

Kind of wishing I went a bit messier for hourly comic day now. 🤔 Maybe I’ll do another day or some other comics on a loose sketchy messy style.

Something I only learned recently is that he was from Regina, the city I where I live in Saskatchewan. He would have been 100 years old yesterday.
Born 11 Feb 1926, actor Leslie Nielson. Despite acting in over 100 films and 1500 TV shows, across a multitude of genres, he will always be remembered by me for his excellent comedic roles in Airport, Police Squad, and the Naked Gun series. A genius of comic timing, I loved him. #LeslieNielsen

I watched an episode of TNG where Picard has Dr. Crusher over for dinner. And then they had to promptly leave to watch a concert.
It got me wondering if Picard would clean up his own plates. Surely a Captain would have some sort of assistant to come in and place the dishes into the replicator 🤔

Season two of The Pitt, now has ‘previously on’ at the start of the episode.
One of the many things I liked about the first season of the show, was that they didn’t have one. It respected that the viewer was paying attention.

I've always been on the edge with Patreon as a personal fit. But a free account might be interesting. It also just makes me want to post to my blog more.
1) open patreon for free
2) create free, and only, tier
3) write newsletter to patreon subscribers
4) publish to patreon, service pushes patreon/newsletter post to subscribers emails
5) repeat as necessary
6) there is no 6, stop using substack

Ok so five episodes in and I am really enjoying Starfleet Academy. Feels like a breath of fresh air and I’m eager to see where they take it.

After a busy week I’ve been hit with a temporary mental health debuff. Hoping a good sleep might reduce it a little so I have the energy to do some hourly comics tomorrow.
