something you have to understand about Trump & his weird comments about the economy is that the dude hasn't paid for anything like a normal person in decades - never pumps gas, never buys groceries - so he's completely & utterly out of touch with what life is like for most of us

There's no evidence Trump has ever driven a damn car.

He has never mowed a lawn.

He has never shoveled a walk.

He has never changed a lightbulb.

He has never washed dishes.

He has said he never ever changed a diaper and he has four children.

My favorite part about the Nazi AI, Grok, grading this pick-me's slop was that Grok actually scored her negative points 😂

Sabrina better sue the ever loving shit out of this group of absolute toddlers pretending to run our country. The brazen defamation they are not engaging in is just so unbelievably unserious and childish. All while the big orange child gets tucked in with a fake medal he made for himself.

Imagine being so proud of your own stupidity that you proudly post your detritus for everyone to read and label it for the flaming sack of shit it is.

When you fail to imagine yourself that shamless, know that your country gave some dumbass an award for doing the above.

We are so unserious.

Both Democrat leaders took it upon themselves to proudly and loudly proclaim today that they will do absolutely nothing whatsoever to create accountability.

There's a reason the "Do Nothing Democrats" label stuck.

We require new (real) leadership.
JAKE TAPPER: You called on Hegseth to release the full tapes of the attack. What sort of action are Democrats prepared to take to make this happen?

CHUCK SCHUMER: We hope that they will release the tapes.

Some like to say that Justices writing dissenting opinions in this hyper-partisan age is useless and/or performative. But it's neither. And Chris excellently shows why it's imperative that the liberals continue to write and argue in dissent, on the record.
NEW: With nine justices, every vote matters. In Monday's argument, the ground began shifting.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is bringing legislative history back to the Supreme Court.

Tonight, at Law Dork:

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is bringing legislative history back to the Supreme Court. Also: It's World AIDS Day, regardless of what the Trump administration says.

"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

Every news channel should immediately be saying to Republicans that if they are not giving illegal orders, they should have no concern about anything Kelly or anyone else has said re: troops refusing to obey illegal orders.

Once again media failure is how we've arrived where we are.

"Strong floor, no ceiling" = "we're rich af and our friends are rich af and we need to ensure that there is no end to our abhorrent wealth"

The Dem leadership is desperate to find something that maintains the status quo. They will not accept that the American people have had it with oligarchs.

Kyle is good, and this is a step in the right direction, but we have gotta stop accepting the admin's framing. Is the ship actually "suspected" or is that a fabricated allegation? Why have we ceded ground legitimized a completely unsubstantiated claim by an administration that endlessly lies?
BREAKING:

Republican-led House and Senate committees say they will amplify their scrutiny of the Pentagon after a WaPo report revealing that Pete Hegseth gave a spoken order to kill all crew members aboard a vessel suspected of smuggling drugs in the Caribbean several weeks ago.

I'll also just add that it's completely insane that these schools are agreeing to pay millions of dollars because they might have 2 trans students who they will also agree to discriminate against and demonize. The lack of any moral conviction from our institutions is always astonishing.

The one T14 law school I was actually interested in caves to an authoritarian, brain-dead grandpa. Every university that is caving like this needs to see a massive drop in applications. They have nothing to teach you if they will cover and cower to fascists.

The legal, media, and academic institutions capitulating to an authoritarian ordering payments for favorable treatment are damning themselves to irrelevance. They are destroying their institutions. They will be — and should be — shunned for failing in their most basic purposes for existing.

At Law Dork overnight, I wrote about Wednesday's shooting of two National Guard troops — their presence, the shooting, and Trump's response.

Quite simply, all of it is wrong. The troops shouldn't have been in DC, violence is unacceptable, and "more troops" is not the answer.
The two shot National Guard troops never should have been in DC. More troops is no answer.
The violence is horrible and unacceptable. Trump, Pete Hegseth, and West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey never should have put the troops in this position.

Part of why I don't want troops in cities is because the authoritarian show of force would inevitably lead to (especially in a country as obsessed with guns and violence as the US) events like today. If the government cared about the troops, they wouldn't use them as pawns like this.

If anyone wants to bond about how bad Wicked: For Good was, I have opinions.

I'm going to be sad if they get awards for this one. Part 1 was excellent, and they deserved awards. This... I don't even know what this was. But it better not be true that they want to do a part 3.
