Got a call out to pub a few years ago. Faulty CCTV system. Newly opened & they had spent a fortune. All the “RG59 CCTV Cable” was that shit. The subby had used the cheapest crap cable. All plastered in walls & ceilings.

Don’t use those white plastic fly leads from the Pound Shop - they are utter shite. Thin copper coated ali core. 6dB loss in 3’ of cable. That’s 75% loss

I was a couple of years ago, John Lewis are the same. If they do a Price Match, they invoice the supplier for the discount they gave. They loose nothing. They are so big that suppliers just bend over & take it

I remember when BT launched SMS Text Message to Voice Landline

They used Tom as the voice. Oh what fun we had. Many an Orange Engineer arrived home to a message from Tom. It really was very well implemented & I so wish I kept recordings on them.
