It is frightening that someone would set up a ‘trans genocide’ email account and abuse a member of the LGBT community. Whipping up fear and hate has far-reaching consequences for LGBT and marginalised people. Making trans people less safe does not make women and girls safer. Enough is enough.

Just sharing this email I received yesterday to give you an example of how utterly radicalised people have become. I'm not upset by this, I'm not shaken by it: I pity it. Imagine sending something like this to another human being, how sad, lonely and empty your life must be.

It is frightening that someone would set up a ‘trans genocide’ email account and abuse a member of the LGBT community. Whipping up fear and hate has far-reaching consequences for LGBT and marginalised people. Making trans people less safe does not make women and girls safer. Enough is enough.
