Sitting on my nth committee scheduling their meeting for the weekend before/after the AAS, and I launched half-heartedly into my well-worn lament that meetings on the weekends are difficult for people with families* and... they listened to me?! And are looking at other dates?!?!?

To be clear, they will 'make the proof' that Tylenol causes autism by controlling who does the studies and who reports the results.

They have built a mechanism to 'make the proof' for whatever they want so say. About protestors, about elections, about immigrants.

We have to keep speaking truth.

Me too, and honestly the zoom chat is a great place to be doing this. Just constant asides, affirmations, riffs on what the person talking just said. People who don’t like interruptions can ignore it, people who like having multiple parallel conversations can enjoy themselves.

I know it’s not technically polite, but I love having a conversation with other people who are comfortable with short interjecting interruptions. To me it makes the conversation feel more like something we’re weaving together rather than alternating individual presentations. It feels more alive.
